23 July 2012 – Armed Robbery – Tavern – Woodcroft

South Coast CIB Detectives are investigating an armed robbery last night at the Woodcroft Tavern on Bains Road at Woodcroft.

At about 9.45pm, a man armed with a machete and wearing a balaclava threatened staff in the gaming room and demanded cash.  The suspect fled on foot with small sum of money in a green shopping bag.

Patrols searched the area for the suspect described that is described as aged in his 20’s, about 170cms, and wearing a blue hooded top.

There were no injuries.
