Two men are due to appear in Parramatta Local Court today charged over the alleged armed hold-up of a service station at Turramurra yesterday morning.
Police allege two men entered the business on the Pacific Highway about 3am yesterday (Wednesday 1 August), and threatened the attendant with a crowbar, demanding money.
The employee complied, handing over cash and cigarettes, before the pair left on foot.
Later in the day, two men aged 19 and 21, were arrested and taken to Hornsby Police Station.
A 21-year-old man, from Hornsby, was charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, and a 19-year-old man, from South Turramurra, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, and breaching bail.
They were both refused bail and remanded to appear in Parramatta Local Court later today (Thursday 2 August 2012).
