June 3, 2011 – Assault – Club – Toowoomba

Police have charged a man following an alleged assault in Toowoomba early this morning.

It will be alleged that a man leaving a West Street club was confronted by a man armed with a knife. 

An altercation ensued during which a 24-year-old man sustained a non-life threatening wound to his stomach.  He was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital.

A 29-year-old Toowoomba man has been charged with wounding and assault.  He is expected to appear at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on June 27.
