23 August 2012 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Hawthorne

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a Hawthorne convenience store last night.
Around 8.15pm, two men entered the Hawthorne Road store armed with lengths of timber and threatened the male attendant before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash down Barton Street.
Both men are describes as being in their late teens or early 20’s in age, and Caucasian in appearance.
One man was wearing a light blue hooded jumper with a white emblem, while the other was wearing a dark grey singlet as well as a red t-shirt wrapped around his head
The attendant was not physically injured during this incident
Investigations are continuing.
