Police are investigating after an auto parts store was robbed by a man armed with a metal bar this afternoon at Windsor.

Shortly before 5pm a man entered the Newmarket Road store and threatened the female attendant with the bar demanding money.

The man then ran from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into a silver coloured commodore. The car was last seen driving west on Newmarket Road.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, of average build with short brown hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a black jacket.

The attendant, a 24-year-old woman, was not physically injured during the robbery.
