Police are investigating an armed hold-up at a petrol station in Canterbury last night.
About 11.15pm (Tuesday 11 September), a man armed with a pistol entered the business on Canterbury Road.
The man threatened a male employee and demanded cash.
The offender left the scene with an amount of cash and was last seen running towards Vincent Street.
The employee was not injured.
Police from Ashfield Local Area Command established a crime scene and the area searched with help from a police dog.
The armed man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 20 to 25 years of age and wearing a black hooded jumper, black track pants, white sport shoes and black sunglasses
