Police have charged a 22-year-old Red Hill woman in relation to the armed robbery of a service station at Ashgrove this morning.
It will be alleged that around 12.10am, the woman entered the Waterworks Road store and threatened staff with a knife before fleeing the store with a sum of cigarettes.
It is further alleged that the woman attempted to flee the scene in a taxi, but a security guard managed to restrain the woman until police arrived.
The 22-year-old has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of assault.
She is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
