Two men have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in the state’s Central West yesterday.
About 9.45am (Tuesday 2 October 2012), two men allegedly armed with a tyre lever, entered a chemist on Forbes Street at Trundle.
They allegedly assaulted the 29-year-old male employee with the lever and demanded medication.
The two men then ran from the premises without taking any property and entered a Ford Falcon sedan.
It is alleged a 30-year-old man attempted to stop the two men; however, they drove off and ran over the man’s foot.
The 29-year-old was taken to Parkes Hospital for treatment to minor injuries. The other man did not require medical assistance.
About 11.30am (Tuesday 2 October 2012), police arrested a 38-year-old man at Hall Street, Condobolin, and took him to Condobolin Police Station.
He was charged with assault with intent to rob in company and refused bail to appear at Forbes Local Court today (Wednesday 3 October 2012).
A short time later police attended Napier Street, Condobolin, and arrested a 41-year-old male and took him to Forbes Police Station.
