Police are investigating the armed robbery of a car mechanic business at Marsden this morning by a man armed with a syringe.

Around 7am, a man entered the Browns Plains Road business and threatened the 22-year-old male attendant with the syringe before fleeing with a sum of cash.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s and approximately 168cms tall with a proportionate build.

At the time, he was wearing a black hooded jumper, black long pants, a black baseball cap, large pink sunglasses and fluorescent yellow or green shoes.

The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
