Police are investigating following an armed robbery at a bottle shop in West End.

Initial information suggests that at around 9.30 last night, two men have walked into the drive through bottle shop in Stagpole Street and both produced knives.

One of the men has pointed the knife at the attendant and made demands for money.

The attendant has complied and handed over the money in the till.

Both men have then fled the business with cash and a quantity of alcohol and were last seen running down Harold Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build and around 170cms tall.

The second man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build and was around 180cms tall.

Investigations are continuing.
