Police have charged a man with multiple offences following the armed robbery of an Oxenford service station yesterday afternoon.

Around 3.55pm, a man has entered an Old Pacific Highway service station and approached the counter, stating he had a knife.

He made demands for money, and the attendant has handed over a sum of cash.

He then left the business in a vehicle.

Police will allege they located the man and the vehicles a short time later on Tamborine Oxenford Road, and have taken him into custody.

Police will further allege they found two firearms, ammunition and knives in the vehicle.

Police have also charged the man following an armed robbery on October 6 in Ormeau.

A 22- year-old Kingston man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count each of possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of tainted property and driving whilst disqualified.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on October 8.
