Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel in Camp Hill earlier this morning.

Just after 1.00am two men entered the Old Cleveland Road hotel. One of the men jumped behind the till counter and the second man was in possession of a hand gun.

The men threatened hotel staff before fleeing with cash and a note breaking machine.

The hotel staff were not injured.

The first man is described as being 180cms tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark balaclava, black long sleeve shirt, dark pants and dark boots.

The second man is described as 170cms tall with a solid build. He was wearing a black balaclava, orange and navy work shirt, black gloves, dark coloured shorts and work boots.
