A 14-year-old has been charged with three offences following investigations into two reported armed robbery incidents in Maroochydore this week.

The boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery in company, attempted robbery while armed, and stealing. He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.

A 16-year-old boy was also previously charged in relation to these incidents.

On October 30, two males entered an Aerodrome Road supermarket around 9.20pm before allegedly threatening the attendant with a knife and fleeing with a sum of cash.

The next morning, two males entered another convenience store on Aerodrome Road around 4.45am, before allegedly threatening the attendant with a knife and demanding cash.

The arrival of another customer disturbed the two males who left the store empty handed.
