6 November 2012 – Armed Robbery – Bottle Shop – Rockhampton

Two boys and a woman have been charged following a robbery at a Rockhampton bottleshop last night.

It will be alleged around 9pm a quantity of alcohol was taken from the Denham Street bottleshop, with three people running off.

They were pursued by an employee and a witness who were confronted near Kent Lane. A scuffle ensued with one man being punched to the head.

A 54-year-old man sustained cuts and abrasions to his arms as a result of the incident.

An 18-year-old woman has been charged with robbery and is to appear at the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on November 23.

Two 16-year-old boys have been charged with robbery and both are to be to be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
