Armadale Detectives are appealing for help surrounding an attempted abduction of a 22 year old woman on Tuesday 7 June 2011.The victim was walking home along Challis Road, Armadale after attending nearby shops on Seville Drive when she was approached from behind by a light grey coloured Toyota Hilux with a rear canopy.
The driver spoke to the victim through the passenger window telling her to, “Get in the car!”

When the victim declined the driver stopped his car and got out, grabbing the victim’s arm to try and pull her into his vehicle. The victim fell as she resisted, grazing her arm in the process.

The unknown male was disturbed by a passing motorist, believed to have been travelling in a white Holden Commodore. The unknown male fled the scene with the victim running home to raise the alarm to family members.

Police are seeking anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area at the time, and in particular, the passing motorist in a white Holden Commodore.

Police also seek information surrounding the vehicle used and its driver. An image of a similar looking Toyota Hilux used by the unknown male is shown below. A composite image of this person Police wish to speak to is also shown below.
