Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Chermside today.
Around 12.50pm a man armed with a knife entered the Gympie Road store and threatened a male member before making demands for cash.
The attendant complied with the demands and the man fled the business with a sum of money.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance in his mid-thirties, approximately 170cm tall and of medium build.
Investigations are continuing.
Police have charged a man following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Nambour yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged at 2pm a man entered the business on Coronation Avenue armed with a knife and a hammer.
The man allegedly demanded money and cigarettes from a male staff member who refused his demands.
The staff member was able to escape, locking the man inside the store until police arrived to take the man into custody.
The 43-year-old male staff member was transported to Nambour General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A 21-year-old Nambour man has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.

Toowoomba detectives have charged a man following the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Harristown early this morning.
Police will allege at around 2:15am a man armed with a knife entered the business on James Street and approached the store attendant demanding money and car keys.
The attendant complied with the man’s demands, handing over his car keys before the man fled the scene in the vehicle.
The 31-year-old male attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
Police sighted the vehicle on the Warrego Highway at Helidon, deploying tyre deflation devices.
The vehicle was successfully intercepted at College View a short time later and the male driver and sole occupant taken into custody.
To date, police have charged a 27-year-old Bray Park with armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The man was denied police bail and has been remanded in custody to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday, September 5).

It will be alleged one of the men entered the convenience store armed with a hand gun and threatened the male employee before demanding he open the cash register.

He allegedly continued to a nearby ice cream shop where the second man had entered and demanded two employees and a customer move to the front of the premises. The men then fled the scene empty handed.

Two men and a woman located at an address in Albany Creek surrendered into police custody without incident.
A 25-year-old Albany Creek man has been charged with attempted armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and assault.
He is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
