24 October 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Chermside

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Chermside today.
Around 12.50pm a man armed with a knife entered the Gympie Road store and threatened a male member before making demands for cash.
The attendant complied with the demands and the man fled the business with a sum of money.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance in his mid-thirties, approximately 170cm tall and of medium build.
Investigations are continuing.
21 October 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Nambour
Published October 21, 2016 | Police have charged a man following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Nambour yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged at 2pm a man entered the business on Coronation Avenue armed with a knife and a hammer.
The man allegedly demanded money and cigarettes from a male staff member who refused his demands.
The staff member was able to escape, locking the man inside the store until police arrived to take the man into custody.
The 43-year-old male staff member was transported to Nambour General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A 21-year-old Nambour man has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
12 October 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Heathmont
Published October 14, 2016 | Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at a Heathmont convenience store today.
Investigators have been told a man entered the Campbell Street store armed with a knife and demanded cigarettes about 12.17am.
The man left with 6 packets of cigarettes and fled on foot in an easterly direction.
No one was injured during the incident.
Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
5 October 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Kirwan
Published October 6, 2016 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Kirwan early this morning.
Just before 6am a man has entered the store on Forest Avenue and produced knife while making demands for money from a staff member. The man then accessed money from the shop’s till and has fled the store on foot.
It is believed he may have then left the area in a waiting vehicle.
The man is described as approximately 180cm tall with a thin build.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
4 October 2016 – Update – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Margate
Published October 6, 2016 | Police have charged a 20-year-old man following the alleged attempted armed robbery of a Margate convenience store on October 2.
The man from North Lakes has been charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery and possess ammunition.
He is scheduled to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today (October 4).
3 October 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Margate
Published October 6, 2016 | Investigations are underway following the attempted armed robbery of a Margate convenience store last night.
Around 11.15pm, a man entered the Oxley Avenue store armed with a hand gun and demanded cash from a male staff member.
The staff member refused and lifted a chair up to protect himself, before the man fled on foot empty-handed.
He was last seen running west on Hale Street.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance with a proportionate build and with short, dark hair.
He was wearing a light-coloured jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and a dark-coloured half face cover.
It appears that he has a tattoo of a cross and a chain on their left hand.
21 September 2016 – Update – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Victoria Point

Police have released further images of a man (pictured) who may be able to assist with investigations into an armed robbery on September 17 in Victoria Point.
The man entered the Cleveland-Redland Bay Road business around 9.15pm and threatened a 21-year-old female employee with the knife, demanding money.
The man fled on foot with a sum of cash and was last seen running into nearby bushland.
He is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cms tall with a slim build.
The woman was not physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
21 September 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Salisbury
Published September 23, 2016 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Salisbury last night.
Around 8.50pm a man has entered the store on Toohey Road and has approached a female staff member. He then produced a knife and made demands for money.
The staff member complied and the man has then left the store on foot with a sum of money.
He is described as Caucasian about 173cm tall and of a slim build.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
4 September 2016 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Harristown
Published September 9, 2016 | Toowoomba detectives have charged a man following the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Harristown early this morning.
Police will allege at around 2:15am a man armed with a knife entered the business on James Street and approached the store attendant demanding money and car keys.
The attendant complied with the man’s demands, handing over his car keys before the man fled the scene in the vehicle.
The 31-year-old male attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
Police sighted the vehicle on the Warrego Highway at Helidon, deploying tyre deflation devices.
The vehicle was successfully intercepted at College View a short time later and the male driver and sole occupant taken into custody.
To date, police have charged a 27-year-old Bray Park with armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The man was denied police bail and has been remanded in custody to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday, September 5).
31 August 2016 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Everton Park
Published September 2, 2016 | Police have charged a man following the attempted armed robbery of a convenience store in Everton Park last night.
Around 9.20pm, the men entered separate businesses on Stafford Road and South Pine Road.
It will be alleged one of the men entered the convenience store armed with a hand gun and threatened the male employee before demanding he open the cash register.
When the staff member couldn’t open the cash register the man fled the store.
He allegedly continued to a nearby ice cream shop where the second man had entered and demanded two employees and a customer move to the front of the premises. The men then fled the scene empty handed.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Two men and a woman located at an address in Albany Creek surrendered into police custody without incident.
A 25-year-old Albany Creek man has been charged with attempted armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and assault.
He is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
