Police are investigating after an armed robbery at Dulwich Hill overnight.

About 9.10pm (Saturday 9 September 2017), two men wearing dark hooded tops and gloves, entered a take-away restaurant on New Canterbury Road, near Kintore Street.

The men demanded cash and one of them threatened a worker with a tomahawk.

The worker complied with the demand before the men left the scene.

They were last seen running along Kintore Street.

Police from Marrickville Local Area Command responded to the incident but were unable to locate the men.

A crime scene was established with specialist forensic officers in attendance.

Police have charged a 27-year-old woman with a number of offences following an attempted armed robbery at Virginia on Saturday morning (August 19).

It will be alleged that around 1.40am, a woman drove through the drive-through of a fast food outlet located on the corner of Sandgate and Robinson Road East.

When at one of the service windows, it will be alleged she held out a knife towards the attendant and demanded money.

The attendant slammed the window shut and the woman drove away. No one was injured during the incident.

Police will further allege the woman was involved in an evade police offence around 3.40am on Crawford Road at Wynnum West on Saturday morning.

A 27-year-old Wynnum West woman has been charged with two counts of fail to stop motor vehicle, and one count each of attempted armed robbery, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving unlicenced, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving an uninsured vehicle.

She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, August 21.

Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged one man and a woman is assisting with enquiries after a fast-food outlet was allegedly robbed in Croydon on Saturday afternoon.

It is alleged an armed robbery occurred at a Main Street business just after 5.30pm by a person wearing a head covering similar to a niqab or burqa.

A 38-year-old Frankston man has been charged with armed robbery and other related offences.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

A 21-year-old Narre Warren woman is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The pair has been charged with three other armed robberies – a fast-food outlet on Breed Street in Morwell, a service station in Morwell and a business in Traralgon on Monday.

Two boys have been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a takeaway food store in Inala last night.

It will be alleged around 7pm the boys entered the business on Skylark Street with a firearm, threatened a 30-year-old male employee and demanded money.

The boys then allegedly took a sum of cash and fled.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police later attended an Inala skate park and located the pair.

A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy have been charged with one count each of armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

Police are investigating after two men attempted to rob a fast-food restaurant in Prestons overnight.

Just before 2am (Wednesday 16 August 2017), two men with their faces and hands covered walked up to the drive-thru area of the restaurant on Lyn Parade.

The men were carrying what appeared to be firearms and called for the female shop assistant to open the window.

The manager at the store has seen what was occurring and told staff to lock themselves in an office and call the police.

The two men have then run from the scene.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command attended and patrolled for the men but were unable to locate them.

Investigating police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

One man was wearing grey track pants and a black hooded jumper.

The other man was wearing a black and white hooded jumper and black pants.

Brimbank Ebona investigators are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a fast food store in Sunshine West on Wednesday 2 August.

Investigators have been told three men armed with knives and wearing masks forced their way into the store on The Avenue about 11pm.

The offenders threatened staff members before fleeing on foot with a small amount of cash.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, especially anyone driving through the area with a dash cam, to speak to police.

It will be alleged around 8.15pm a man entered the business on Old Cleveland Road and threatened a male employee with a knife, demanding money.

The man then took a sum of cash and fled.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police later attended a Wynnum West address and located a vehicle that was witnessed allegedly driving from the scene.

A 20-year-old Wynnum West man was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery.

Sturt Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Plympton Park this evening.

Just before 8pm on Saturday 15 July, a man armed with a knife threatened the attendant at the takeaway counter of a restaurant on Bray Street, Plympton Park.

He left empty-handed.

Fortunately, there were no injuries during the attempted robbery.

The suspect fled on a bicycle and is described as aged in his early 20s, about 170cm tall and wearing a grey hoodie.

Police attended and searched the area but have not located the suspect.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a cafe in Hurstville last night.

About 9pm (Monday 10 July 2017), two female employees of a cafe within a shopping complex on Forest Road were closing up for the day.

As they pulled the shutter down, a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 30-40 years of age with a medium build and wearing a beanie with a dark grey hooded jumper and lighter grey track pants with black runners, entered the store armed with a pair of scissors.

He threatened the two women before breaking into the cash register and stealing the day’s takings.

He ran from the store heading west along Forest Road towards Hurstville Railway Station.

Police were called and officers from St George Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Aitkenvale this evening.

At 6.20pm, a man entered an Indian restaurant on Ross River Road armed with what is believed to be a hammer and approached the counter.

He threatened a man behind the counter and demanded money and then fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and was carrying an orange bag.

Investigations are continuing.
