Investigations are underway after the armed robbery of a take away food store in Liverpool today.

About 6.30am (Sunday 3 June 2018), a 31-year-old male employee was preparing food at a

take away food store on Hoxton Park Road, when two men entered the store.

The men, believed to be armed with knives, have threatened the employee and demanded cash.

The men have kicked the male employee to the face, before fleeing on foot into bushland with cash.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were alerted and established a crime scene.

The 31-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor facial injuries.

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery at a shopping centre in Upper Mount Gravatt this morning.

It will be alleged around 9:30am a man smashed the display window of a jewellery store with a hammer, stealing stock and fleeing on foot.

The man was subsequently detained by security until police arrived and took the man into custody.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 24-year-old Avondale man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, wilful damage, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of a knife in a public place.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Launceston Police have arrested three men in relation to an alleged aggravated armed burglary at the Pardoe Supermarket Takeaway yesterday afternoon.

Police allege that around 4:20pm a man entered the takeaway store and demanded cash. When a customer confronted the man as he was leaving, the offender produced a knife and ran from the store. The men left the scene in a stolen white sports car.

The vehicle was later located in Deloraine and two men aged 22 and 26 were arrested nearby. They have been charged with Motor Vehicle Stealing, Aggravated Armed Robbery, Stealing and Trespass.

Two men are due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at 11.30am today.

A third man has been taken into custody a short time ago and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a bakery in Acacia Ridge this morning.

Around 6am, two men each armed with a knife approached a woman inside the Elizabeth Street business demanding property.

One of the men stole a handbag from a bench in the rear of the store before both men fled the scene in a grey four-wheel drive, which had been parked nearby.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

One man is described as having a tanned complexion, wearing a white cap, black hooded jumper, black pants, gloves and running shoes.
The second man is described also as having a tanned complexion, wearing a red cap underneath a black hooded jumper, black shorts, blue running shoes and white gloves.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision from the area between 5.45am and 6.10am to contact police.

Police have charged a 22-year-old man following investigations into an attempted armed robbery at Drayton this evening.

It will be alleged that around 5pm, a man entered a supermarket on Brisbane Street and approached the service desk.

It will be further alleged that the man produced a knife, threatened a female store employee, and made demands for cash.

A number of customers held the man until police arrived and took him into custody without incident.

No one was hurt during the incident.

A 22-year-old Toowoomba man has been charged with attempted armed robbery and is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow, May 19.

A man armed with a hammer stole cash and smashed property at a Mount Sheridan grocery store last night (May 8).

Around 8.30pm a man entered the Benjamina Street business with other four other males, all of whom appeared to be carrying cans of alcohol.

After purchasing some items four of the males left.

The offender then approached an employee, a man aged in his early 20s, and kicked him in the leg before entering an office and smashing a computer screen with the hammer.

He threw soft drink over the floor and desk before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash.

He is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, approximately 175cms tall with a thin build, and was wearing a lime green polo shirt, shorts, black hat and had a cast on his right arm.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a food outlet in Annerley overnight.

At 8.25pm, a male entered the Ipswich Road store and was believed to be armed with a bladed weapon.

He demanded cash from the employees before leaving on foot with a sum of money.

He was last seen heading south on Ipswich Road.

No-one was physically injured.

Investigations are continuing.

A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening a customer at a Port Augusta supermarket last night.

Police were called to the supermarket on Jervois Street, Port Augusta at 9.30pm on Tuesday 17 April after reports a man armed with a knife had threatened a customer.

Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Patrols arrived quickly and searched the area, locating the suspect nearby.  He was allegedly in possession of a large knife and was arrested without incident.

The 41-year-old Amata man was charged with aggravated assault and carry offensive weapon.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court today.

Police are investigating following an armed robbery near Tuggerah Lakes last night.

About 8pm (Sunday 15 April 2018), a man armed with a firearm, entered a grocery store on Bruce Road, Buff Point.

Police were told the man threatened staff demanding money.

The man then fled the scene in a grey SUV, possibly being driven by another person, with cash and other items.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Bruce Road.

The man is described as being of Caucasion appearance, about 170cm tall with a strong Australian accent.

He was wearing a black hooded-jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face covered.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.

Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a takeaway store in Yatala tonight.

Three men entered the business on Christiansen Road around 6.05pm wearing balaclavas and armed with knives.

One of the men jumped over the counter and demanded money from the female employee.

She complied and the trio fled the store with a sum of cash.

The men are described as being aged between 18 and 25-years-old with dark skin, between 170-180cm tall with proportionate builds.

They were all wearing dark clothing including hooded jumpers and a single glove on their hand.
