allegedly making unauthorised withdrawals.
It will be alleged between September 2005 and June 2010 the man used his position to
transfer and deposit funds into an ATM account, which was set up used to test transactions
on a particular ATM. He then withdrew the money for his own use.
In 2009, it will also be alleged he altered a document which allowed him to withdraw $5000
from an account in small amounts over a five day period.
In total, 92 unauthorised withdrawals were made to the value in excess of $67,000.
A 46 year old St. James man has been charged with 92 counts of Stealing as a Servant,
Possess a Prohibited Drug and Possess Cannabis Smoking Implement.
He will appear in the Perth Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 9 June 2011.
The man pictured is wanted for questioning in relation to a robbery that occurred around 1:30pm on May 4th, 2011, at the Credit Union on Abernethy Road in Belmont.
It is alleged the man queued in line and when called to the counter handed over a note demanding money. Staff complied with his demands, handing over a quantity of cash which he put into his black backpack and then quietly left the premises.
The person of interest is described as having a fair complexion, 40 to 50 years old, of solid build, around 175cm tall with acne scarring to his face.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, baggy blue jeans, a black baseball cap, aviator style sunglasses and sandshoes.
Detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit have charged three men after an armed
robbery at an Australia Post Office in Safety Bay on 3 May 2011.
It will be alleged about 2:30pm, a man entered the Post Office on Penguin Road armed with
a knife while another man remained at the entrance armed with a tomahawk.
A third man waited in a vehicle parked outside the store.
The man approached a female staff member at the counter brandishing the knife and
demanded money from the till.
He stole a quantity of cash before the three men left in the waiting vehicle.
A 27 year old Coodanup man and two men aged 24 and 29 years of age, both of Falcon
have been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery.
They will appear in court at Stirling Gardens on 25 May 2011.
Perth City detectives have charged a 25 year old North Perth man with Armed Robbery after
an incident on Monday morning (9 May 2011).
It will be alleged he caught a taxi from an address in Tuart Hill and asked to be driven to
West Perth.
At about 6:15am, as the taxi was travelling on Vincent Street North Perth the man has pulled
a knife from his pocket and threatened the taxi driver, demanding his wallet.
The taxi driver gave the man a small amount of cash before the offender fled from the taxi
and ran down Vincent Street in a westerly direction.
The 43 year old taxi driver was uninjured in the robbery.
The man was charged with Armed Robbery and will appear in the Perth Magistrate’s Court
today.
Midland Detectives investigating the Aggravated Robbery of a taxi driver in Opperman Place,
Middle Swan at about 3.00am this morning (Sunday 8 May 2011) have released images of
the persons of interest driving the taxi.
The 44 year old taxi driver was attending to a job at a house in that street when two men
approached his taxi which was parked in the driveway, near the road and asked if he could
take them somewhere. When he told them he was already on a job, one of the men punched
him in the side of the head, knocking him unconscious. One of the men took his car keys
from his pocket and both men drove off in the taxi.
The taxi was abandoned a short time after in Kurrden Way, Swan View.
The driver was treated in hospital and later discharged. He was treated for a head wound.
Police would like any person who may have any information as to the identity of the men in
the photos or who may have any information on this cowardly and viscous Aggravated
