Two men will appear in court following an incident in Alligator Creek last night.
It is alleged they approached the victim as he sat in his car at a service station on Allendale Drive around 7.20pm.
One man allegedly threatened the victim with a weapon and ordered him out of the vehicle before they entered the car and drove away.
Police later intercepted the pair on the Bruce Highway north of Ayr.
The 22 and 40-year-old have been charged with one count each of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
They have been held in custody to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today
