Oxley District police are investigating an armed robbery at Sunnybank Hills this morning in which a car was stolen.

Initial investigations suggest that around 1.25am an 18-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man had stopped their car in Jackson Street when a vehicle containing five males pulled by beside them.

Two men have then got out of the second vehicle, a white sedan, and threatened the two victims with a baseball bat and hammer.

The victims have then complied with a demand to get out of their vehicle, a sedan, with the two men subsequently fleeing the scene in it followed by the white sedan.

No one was injured during this incident.
