Police are investigating an attempted aggravated robbery that occurred this morning at Salisbury East.
Just after 9:10am a man armed with a knife entered the post office on Northbri Avenue demanding money.
Staff refused to hand over any cash and the suspect fled the scene empty-handed.
He was last seen heading towards Charleston Street on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is aged in his mid-20s and is about 173cm tall. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, a black face mask and carrying a green shopping bag.
