A man has been charged after allegedly robbing another man’s house at Potts Point earlier this year.
About 3.30am on Sunday 22 May 2011, the two men met on Crown Street at Surry Hills and agreed to go back to the 38-year-old’s Potts Point home.
It is alleged that after consuming an unknown drug, the homeowner felt dizzy before he blacked-out.
When he awoke later that morning, he discovered that a number of items and an amount of cash, had allegedly been taken from the home.
Police were notified and officers from Kings Cross Local Area Command have been investigating the alleged incident.
Following inquiries, a 37-year-old was arrested at his Greenacre home yesterday and taken to Kings Cross Police Station, where he was subsequently charged with aggravated commit serious indictable offence in dwelling.
He was given conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on 3 August 2011.
Meanwhile, police are reminding the public of the dangers of taking unknown substances and are also urging anyone who has experienced a similar incident, to come forward.
