Police in Sydney’s south-west are hunting two armed men who robbed a bottle shop at Liverpool overnight.

About 8pm yesterday (Friday 13 May), the pair, armed with a firearm and knife, entered the Hoxton Park Road business and threatened a male employee.

They demanded cash from a register before running from the store.

Police from Liverpool Local Area Command and the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

Local detectives are now seeking public assistance to identify and locate the offenders.

The first is described as being 175-180cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark blue tracksuit pants, a black balaclava and gloves, and was armed with a firearm.

The second is described as being 175-180cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with skeleton pattern on the front and back, dark-coloured pants and gloves, and was carrying a knife.

They were last seen running across Paciullo Oval towards Calabro Avenue, Lurnea.
