Quick thinking by a member of the public helped foil an armed robbery at Victoria Point this afternoon.
Police Communications received a Triple Zero call around 1.25pm from a woman advising them that a man talking to a teller at a Victoria Point bank was acting agitated and was carrying a knife.
Uniformed officers from Wynnum Police Station attended the Bunker Street bank and confronted the man.
He allegedly threatened officers and a taser was deployed.
No one was injured during the incident and a man is currently assisting police with their investigations.
