Police are appealing for witnesses following the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Punchbowl last night.
About 7:35pm, Saturday 20 August 2011, a man wearing a stocking over his face and armed with a flick-knife entered the bottle shop on Canterbury Road.
The man approached the counter and threatened staff and witnesses before making demands for cash and access to the safe.
The man stole an amount of cash and a laptop computer before fleeing the scene and running south along Cullens Road. No one was injured during the incident.
A witnessed followed the man and it is believed he entered a white-coloured sedan before travelling west along Belair Road.
Campsie Police are conducting investigations into the robbery and are looking for a man who is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, aged in his mid 20s, 165 – 170 cm tall, thin build wearing a black hooded jumper, dark coloured pants and white joggers.
