Police have arrested and charged a woman with reckless wounding after another woman was allegedly glassed at Springwood early this morning.

 Police were called to a hotel in Macquarie Road after a 34-year-old woman was allegedly slashed on the left side of the face with a schooner glass during an argument.

 The woman was taken to Katoomba Hospital for treatment for cuts to her left eye and left cheek.

 Police arrested a 29-year-old woman at her home in Springwood about 2.30am today.

 She was taken to Springwood Police Station where she was charged with reckless wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

 She was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Penrith Local Court on 12 September
