A man has been arrested after investigations into the robbery of a pizza delivery driver in the Sydney suburb of Putney last month.

The 20-year-old male driver went to Henry Street, Putney, on the evening of Sunday 3 July 2011 and was confronted by at least five people, including two males armed with samurai swords.

The driver had told police they demanded the pizzas and cash, which he handed over, before the group ran into the park.

The delivery driver, who suffered minor cuts to his finger and thumb, contacted police who have been investigating the incident.

Yesterday police arrested an 18-year-old man who was charged with armed robbery and refused bail to appear at Ryde Local Court today.

He is the second person to be charged in relation to the incident, with a 16-year-old youth already before the court.

Police inquiries into the incident are continuing.
