Police are searching for a man who robbed a service station at Waterford West last night.
Just after 10pm a man entered the store and threatened a female employee with a machete. The man jumped over the counter and demanded the store operator hand over cash.
The employee handed over a sum of money and he fled on foot.
The man is described as being in his late twenties, stocky build, about 160cms tall with dark hair cut very short. He had a goatee beard with no moustache and a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
He was wearing a grey and black striped jumper, jeans and dark coloured shoes.
