September 11, 2011 – Robbery/Assault – Tavern – Lawnton

 Police have charged two men in relation to the robbery of a tavern in Lawnton last night.

It is alleged at about 8.40pm the men stole a bottle of alcohol from the tavern and when confronted by staff outside attacked the security officers.  

A 22-year-old Kallangur man has been charged with robbery, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one count common assault. 

A 23-year-old Kallangur man has been charged with robbery.

Both men are due to appeared in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on September 12.

Two security officers were transported by QAS to the Redcliffe Hospital for treatment to facial injuries but have since been released.
