September 12, 2011 – Robbery – Pharmacy – Aitkenvale

A 42-year-old man has been charged following the robbery of a Pharmacy at Aitkenvale yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 3pm, it is alleged a man entered the Ross River Road store and demanded property whilst claiming to have a firearm.

The man fled the scene on foot with property before allegedly being located by police a short time after.

The 42-year-old was charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear before the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
