Police are investigating an armed robbery in Sydney’s south west yesterday.
Just after 6.35pm (Saturday 1 October 2011), two men entered a smallgoods store on Northcote Street, Canterbury, threatening employees with a knife.
One of the men allegedly assaulted a 42-year-old male employee before taking an amount of money from the cash register and fleeing the location.
Both men were last seen running south along Northcote Road.
Pollice were called to the location and commenced investigations into the incident. A crime scene was established and examined by forensic specialists.
Police wish to speak to two men in relation to the incident.
The first man is described as being about 185cm tall, of large build and possibly aged in his 20s. At the time, the man was wearing a grey hooded jumper, grey gloves and a black cotton mask. He was carrying a knife and a bag.
The second man is described as being about 170cm tall with a thin build and also aged in his 20s. He was wearing an orange or yellow-coloured jumper at the time of the incident.
