Police have charged three teenagers in relation to the violent robbery of a taxi driver in Sydney’s southwest yesterday.
About 3.15am (Saturday 8 October), the 38-year-old taxi driver picked the three teenagers up at Campbelltown Railway Station.
After the man drove the trio to Duterreau Way at Claymore, he was assaulted and robbed.
The driver was hospitalised with numerous injuries, including two black eyes and a broken foot.
Investigations into the incident by officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command culminated last night when they arrested two males aged 17 and one aged 16.
They were arrested during search warrants at homes on Proctor Way and Roberts Way at Claymore.
All three have been charged with robbery in company.
They have been refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Children’s Court today
