Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Sydney’s north yesterday.

 About 5.15pm (Friday 14 October 2011), a man walked into a shop on Victoria Road, Chatswood, and threatened a staff member with a knife, demanding cash.

 The staff member handed over a sum of cash to the man, who then fled on foot south on Neridah Street.

 The 36-year-old male employee was not injured during the incident.

 Police attended the scene and conducted a search of the area; however, the man was not located.

 Detectives from North Shore Local Area Command are continuing their investigations into the robbery.
