A man is assisting police with their enquiries following an attempted armed robbery at knife point of a convenience store at Benowa today.
It is alleged around 10.40am a man armed with a knife entered the store on Benowa Road and made demands for money from the store employee. The store employee refused to hand over any money and the man fled empty handed.
Police investigations led officers to a Surfers Paradise address where a man was detained.
