A crime scene has been established following the attempted armed robbery of a bank in Bondi Junction.
Emergency services were called to the bank on Oxford Street just before 1pm (Friday 11 November 2011), following reports of a robbery.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command attended and were told a man entered the bank and threatened a teller with a firearm, before fleeing empty-handed.
A crime scene has been established and a canvass of the area is being conducted.
No shots were fired during the incident and no one was injured
