A man has been charged after another man was struck in the face with a schooner glass in Sydney’s south-west.

About 11.30am on Monday (28 November 2011), a 55-year-old man was with a friend inside a licensed premise on Railway Parade, Cabramatta.

The two men had a short conversation with a third man, before the third man allegedly struck the 55-year-old man to the face with a schooner glass before walking out of the hotel.

 Police were called to the hotel and a crime scene was established.

 The injured man was treated at the scene by ambulance officers, before being taken to Fairfield Hospital with cuts to his nose.

At 12.30pm today (Thursday 1 December 2011), a 31-year-old man attended Cabramatta Police Station where he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on Monday 19 December 2011.
