Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a bottle shop at North Parramatta yesterday evening.
About 5:55pm, Sunday 4 December 2011, a 20-year-old man was working in the bottle shop on Victoria Road and was re-stocking fridges when he was approached by a man wearing a scarf over his head.
He was then hit with a blunt instrument before his attacker demanded money and another man entered the store.
Both men then forced the 20-year-old to open another room before they helped themselves to cash and fled the scene running west along Victoria Road.
As a result of the assault the man sustained only minor injuries including soreness to his head and right shoulder which did not require medical treatment.
Police from Rosehill Local Area Command attended the bottle shop and established a crime scene which was examined by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.
Detectives are investigating the armed robbery and are looking for two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as have a tanned complexion, thin to medium build, 180cm tall and wearing a sky blue hooded jumper, black long pants and a scarf.
The second man is only described as wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants.
