A man will appear in court on charges of armed robbery after he allegedly robbed a woman with a knife yesterday.

 Police will allege the incident occurred shortly after 1pm (Saturday 3 December 2011) when a woman returned to her parked vehicle on Belmore Street, Burwood.

 It’s alleged the man approached the woman and threatened her with a knife before robbing her of her wallet containing n amount of cash.

 Detectives were summoned to the scene where they commenced an investigation resulting in the arrest of a 41-year-old man in Leeds Road, Rhodes.

 He was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with armed robbery.

 He was given conditional bail and will appear in Burwood Local Court on January 10.
