Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a grocery store at Lakemba last night.
About 5:20pm, Sunday 18 December 2011, a 14-year-old boy was working at the store on Railway Parade when a man entered the business.
Police have been told the man, who was wearing a hood and bandana over his head, threatened the teen with a knife and held it to his throat.
He then demanded money from the register before fleeing with a sum of cash and was last seen running west along Railway Parade towards a nearby laneway.
The teenage boy was not injured during the robbery and subsequently called police who attended a short time later.
A crime scene was established at the store and examined by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.
Detectives from Campsie Local Area Command are conducting investigations into the armed robbery and are looking for the man.
He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, aged in his 20s, about 180cm tall with a slim build, blue eyes and a pointed nose.
At the time he was wearing a grey hooded jumper, shorts and a white bandana.
