Police are appealing for public assistance after a spate of armed robberies on service stations in Sydney’s south west this morning.

Six armed robberies occurred between 3.30am and 5.30am:

  •  3.34am, service station on Elizabeth Drive Mount Pritchard, robbed by a man with a hammer
  • 3.43am, service station on Elizabeth Drive, Liverpool, robbed by a man with a hammer
  • 3.53am, service station on Elizabeth Drive, Liverpool, robbed by a man with a hammer
  • 4.51am, service station on Beech Road, Casula, robbed by a man with knife
  • 5.02am, service station on Hume Highway, Casula, robbed by a man with a knife
  • 5.30am, service station on Woodward Street, Cartright, robbed by a man with a knife

 A small amount of cash as well as chocolates and cigarettes were stolen as a result of the robberies.

 On each occasion the offender has been described as aged in his early 20s, about 180cm tall, with a large build, short, dark hair, clean shaven, cream cargo pants, wearing a white t-shirt with red print, and white and blue running shoes.

 It appears the man utilised two different hooded jackets, one described as dark grey in colour, and the other described as a dark blue horizontal stripped hooded jacket.

 Police believe the man used a blue sedan to travel between the locations.
