Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information in relation to an armed
robbery at a Blockbuster video store located on Great Eastern Highway Midland on Friday 6
January 2012.

At around 9:30pm a man and woman entered the store and walked up to a male staff
member and demanded money. The male offender stated he was in possession of a gun
and when the staff member failed to give him money, he struck the victim to the face causing
a deep laceration to his right eyebrow.

The male offender was given some cash before he demanded two other staff members hand
over their wallets and car keys.

One staff member grabbed a metal pole and threatened the offenders with it,
causing them to run out of the store and down Cope Street.

The male offender is described as 20 to 30 years of age, approximately
183cm tall, of slim build with a beard or facial hair. He was wearing a black
hooded jumper, dark baseball cap, black pants with white stripes down the
sides and black shoes.
The female offender is described as medium build with shoulder length curly
hair. She was wearing a dark jacket with grey stripes down the arms, denim shorts and black
and white sneakers.
