Police have arrested  a second person in  relation to the robbery on Monday of an eye wear store on King William Road.

A  30-year-old Seaview Downs woman has been arrested for theft and aggravated assault.

18 pairs of glasses were stolen from the store on Monday, 9  January 2012.

The woman did not apply for bail.  No glasses have been recovered and enquiries are on-going.

Yesterday, police arrested a 45-year-old man from Novar Gardens for aggravated assault, theft and drive unlicensed.

He has been remanded in custody

A woman entered the premises around 11am on Monday and allegedly stole $6,000 worth of glasses while the owner was serving another customer.

The woman was chased from the store, where she  ran to a red  Nissan sedan which was parked in Opey Street.

The owner was confronted by a man and allegedly threatened with a knife.
