Police are appealing for witnesses to a brawl in Sydney this morning which resulted in a man being struck to the head with a glass bottle.
Just before 2am (Sunday 15 January 2012), police were called to Oxford Street, Surry Hills, following reports of a brawl.
Police attended the scene; however the people involved had already dispersed.
A short time later, a 33-year-old man attended St Vincent’s Hospital suffering a cut to his left cheek believed to have been caused by a glass bottle being thrown at his face during the brawl.
A crime scene was established on Oxford Street and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives attached to Surry Hills Local Area Command are continuing their investigations into the assault and are attempting to identify and locate the males involved.
