A 29-year-old Redcliffe man will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today charged with a number of offences after a robbery at a Redcliffe newsagency last night.
Around 6.25pm a man entered theVictoria Avenuestore wearing clothing wrapped around his head and allegedly carrying a knife and shopping bag.
The man demanded the attendant place an amount of money in the shopping bag, however the attendant refused.
The man allegedly jumped the counter, pushed the attendant out of the way and stole an amount of money from the till.
The man then fled the store alongRedbank Road. A police dog located the man a short distance away.
The 29-year-old was charged with enter premises with intent and commit indictable offence, armed robbery and common assault. He is scheduled to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today.
