Elizabeth and Holden Hill Police are conducting a joint investigation into a series of aggravated robberies in Pooraka which have occurred over the past week.

At about 1.40am on 17 March, a man armed with a knife entered the United Petrol Station on Main North Road.  He threatened the console operator before running from the scene with an amount of cash.

At about midnight on 19 March, a man armed with a screw driver entered the same service station and demanded money from the console operator. The suspect was last seen running off with an amount of cash.

At about 4.20pm on 21 March, police believe the same man entered the BWS Liquor Store on Montague Road armed with a large knife.  He demanded money from the staff member before running from the shop with an amount of cash and a bottle of liquor.

Police believe all three of these incidents have been committed by the same suspect.

Police are also looking closely at the same suspect being involved in an aggravated robbery at the Bridgeway Hotel overnight.  Just before 8.30pm a man entered the drive through bottle shop and threatened staff with a knife.  He was last seen running off with an amount of cash.

The suspect is described as Caucasian and in his late 20s.  He is about 170cm tall and of slim build.  During the BWS robbery he was carrying a black back pack with a distinctive purple coloured flap with white writing on the flap.

On each occasion the suspect has been wearing dark clothing with a hooded jumper.
