Police are appealing for the public’s help following two armed robberies in Sydney’s southwest yesterday afternoon.

Investigators from Liverpool Local Area Command believe the same people are responsible for both armed robberies, which occurred within ten minutes of each other at bottle shops in Warwick Farm.

The first occurred at 3.50pm (Tuesday 3 April) at the bottle shop on Mannix Parade, where an employee was threatened with a baseball bat and forced to hand over cash.

The second robbery occurred about 4pm at the drive-thru bottle shop on Homepride Avenue, where again staff were forced to hand over cash after being threatened with a baseball bat.

At least three males are thought to be involved in the robberies. They had their faces covered and left both scenes in a red/maroon Subaru WRX.

Police established a crime scene at both locations and interviewed staff and other witnesses.
