An investigation by patrol officers into a break-in at a hotel resulted in the arrest of two men charged with a several offences including aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, illegal interference of a motor vehicle and aggravated assault.

Patrol officers from Netley and Sturt Police Stations investigated a break-in at the Comfort Motor Inn, Plympton Park that occurred at about 2 am yesterday and arrested two men.

Numerous items were stolen from the office of the Motor Inn including cash and motor vehicle keys. 

Police will allege the two men, an 18-year-old Mitchell Park man and a 25-year-old Plympton Park man returned to the Motor Inn and broke into a Toyota Landcruiser. 

The owner of the vehicle, a 41-year-old Somerton Park man, confronted the men and was assaulted resulting in him receiving a cut to his lip. 

The men were apprehended by police a short time later and were charged with 

Both men were refused police bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.
