There have been 12 reported thefts of computers from business premises mainly in Port Adelaide, Beverley, West Croydon and Devon Park between may 20 and May 27 this year.
Thieves appear to be targeting businesses where the front glass door is then jemmied or smashed.

The offenders are also using stolen vehicles to transport the stolen property.
Since October 2010, over 50 incidents have been reported to police.
The stolen property includes 74 hard drives, 32 monitors and 10 laptops.
Other property stolen includes a compressor, two generators and a video conferencing unit.

- Lock away laptops or use security devices to secure them to desktops,
- Record serial numbers and make of computers and keep the records in a handy location,
- Close blinds/curtains, lock doors and windows,
