13 July 2012 – Glassing – Hotel – Kings Cross

A man has been arrested following an alleged ‘glassing’ in Sydney’s inner-east overnight.

Emergency services attended a hotel on Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross, about 9.30pm (Thursday 12 July 2012), responding to reports of an assault.

Officers from Kings Cross Local Area Command attended and were told a 47-year-old man had been taken to hospital suffering a large laceration to his forehead.

It will be alleged he had been assaulted with a glass bottle.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the hotel and taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he continues to assist with inquiries.

Charges are expected to be laid.
